Negative Treasury Yields –

Five year Treasury Inflation Protected Securities were sold at a negative yield.  The sale of $10 billion of the securities marked the first time that Treasuries were sold with a negative yield.  Inflation linked debt is the only type that could be sold at a negative yield.
